To acquire “3+1 competencies” at Nitobe College, graduate students from different fields will tackle challenging and specific issues together in the Graduate Curriculum.
Through this process, the students will increase the applicability of the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in a global society, which have been cultivated in the Pre-program Courses, as well as their respective expert ise. The Graduate Curriculum consists of two main subjects（compulsory and elective, 8 weeks each）and other elective courses（Nitobe College Special Seminars）. Additionally, some classes at Nitobe College（such as final presentations）are open to the students and faculty at Hokkaido University or the public.

Global Advanced Course Ⅰ: Practice of Problem Solving (2 Credits)
Spring/Fall Term
Students develop their problem-solving skills through interdisciplinary team projects regarding global issues, using and reinforcing the knowledge and abilities from the Pre-program Courses.
Global Advanced Course Ⅱ: Foundations and Practice of Problem Finding (2 Credits)
Summer /Winter Term
In addition to learning the basics of problem finding, through practice such as data collection and analysis in fieldwork, students build awareness of the importance of problem finding and enhance their ability to discover original issues.

Requirements for completion
Students must fulfill both of the following requirements to complete the program.
- Acquire four or more credits including the credits for Global Advanced Course I.
- Continued use of NPF.
Award of certificate of completion
“Certificate of Completion of Honors Program: Graduate Curriculum” and title of “Associate (Graduate)” will be awarded to students who complete the Honors Program: Graduate Curriculum. In addition, “Highest Honors” will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria.

Pre-Program Courses
These are preparatory courses for enrolling in the Nitobe College Honors Program.The courses are designed for students enrolled in master’s and professional degree programs at Hokkaido University, to acquire techniques for teamwork and project management ; knowledge and skills essential to be active in a globalizing society. They consist of two subjects（8 weeks each）and are held twice a year（Spring and Summer terms / Fall and Winter terms）.
Global Practical Course Ⅰ: Basics of Team-Based Learning (2 Credits)
Spring/Fall Term
Students improve their personal skills necessary to make contributions to collaboration while developing their knowledge and technique for teamwork, including creative and critical thinking, leadership, facilitation, and presentation.
Global Practical Course Ⅱ: Practice of Team-Based Learning (2 Credits)
Summer /Winter Term
Students learn project management skills through project-based teamwork applying and reinforcing knowledge and abilities they acquired in Global Practical Course I.
