生物計測化学。分子集合体場における化学発光や生物発光反応を利用した超高感度分析法、マイクロ流体デバイスを用いたバイオメディカル分析技術の開発などを行っています。
メッセージ
新渡戸カレッジにはスタート時より講義を担当してきました。専門・文化を異にする学生たちが一堂に会して、さまざまな課題に主体的に取り組む本プログラムから学ぶことは多く、貴重な経験になるものと思っています。課題の負担は決して軽くはありませんが、どう活かすかは皆さん次第です。大いに楽しんで取り組んでください。

I moved from National Astronomical Observatory to Hokkaido University in 2004. I have been working on space geodesy, studying earth and planetary physics using satellite data, and am interested in gravity and its change, crustal movements, upper atmospheric physics, earthquake and natural disasters.
メッセージ
I am not an expert of active learning, and have little experiences of classes of this kind of style. Nevertheless, I like talking with people on various topics, hearing interesting stories from remote countries, and exchanging opinions on social and natural problems with people of diverse backgrounds. So I look forward to learning with you although I do not have a clear image of the Nitobe School right now. One year later, I hope I could write something more specific and nice in the message to perspective students!

My interest is how environment affects transposon activation in nature. Transposons exist in almost all eukaryotes and they are important elements on the genome. I focus on the relationship between environmental stress and transposon activation.

My research interests include Migration and Gender Policies in East Asia. My current research focuses on the gender aspect on migration including the issue of female domestic and care workers (global households), as well as the vulnerability and agency of these women.
