Features of the Nitobe College
Nitobe College students will acquire knowledge and engage in life changing experiences by taking a set of mandatory subjects over four years while completing their regular courses of undergraduate study.
Nitobe College offers a multidisciplinary educational curriculum designed for a maximum of 200 students from all twelve faculties of Hokkaido University. A requirement of the college is that students complete a one-semester long study abroad program, usually 6 months in duration.
Through subjects titled Practical English for Overseas Education, Arts & Science Courses in English, and Specialized Learning all provided in English, students will acquire practical English skills. Co-learning in Multicultural Classrooms, where Japanese students learn together with students from other parts of the world, helps students expand their understandings of other cultures. The students who earn the designated credits (15 credits) and meet all requirements will receive a certificate of completion.
